General Overview
Wayne is a partner in the Brisbane national law firm, HWL Ebsworth.
Wayne specialises in the areas of commercial due diligence, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution and mediation.
He is a past consultant to the National Native Title Tribunal where he was engaged to assist in the mediation of competing interests in the World Heritage Wet Tropics region between Native Title claimants, the State and Local Governments, tourism operators and electricity authorities.
He has previously consulted to traditional owners of the Kakadu National Park in respect of their cultural and commercial interests, land management and environmental concerns.
Wayne is also a stakeholder in a fledging ecotourism project on Yaromo Island, Fiji where a ecotourism resort is proposed to be built between 2008 and 2009.
This venture will be a joint venture with the local landholding unit (Matqali Natia) becoming a stakeholder in the tourism resort with a long term view of the Matqali becoming absolute owners.
