Ecotourism Australia welcomes TIES to the 2005 National Conference

Ecotourism Australia has welcomed the news that the Board of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) will be attending the 2005 National Conference in Tasmania, Australia.

A number of TIES Board members will be sharing their international expertise in the ecotourism industry through Keynote presentations at the conference. Board members including Kelly Bricker (Chair of TIES), Keith Sproule (Supreme Commission for Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Hitesh Mehta (world leading architect, EDSA), Chandra de Silva (Ranweli Holiday Village, Sri Lanka) and Tony Charters (Tony Charters and Associates) will all be addressing the conference delegation over the course of the five day event.

TIES will be hosting their biannual Board meeting in Tasmania to coincide with the staging of the Conference. This is the first time that the TIES Board has met in Australia and it is hoped their presence at the conference and in the region will forge future partnerships. The TIES Board meeting has been scheduled for 3rd and 4th December immediately following the final day of Ecotourism Australia’s National Conference. The meeting is open to all members of TIES.
