In 2006 a number of forums will be run concurrently to the International Conference event.

Urban Nature: Youth Ecotourism Forum
(with international network links)

Townsville City Council in partnership with youth of Townsville, linking with youth from around the world, is holding an Urban Nature: Youth Ecotourism Forum.

The objective of this forum will be for students and youth of Townsville working with other youth worldwide to develop and deliver an Ecotourism Youth Charter to the final main plenary.

This charter will be their ideas and views about ecotourism, sustainability, and our communities.

Associated with this Council is also facilitating an "Ecotourism Art Jigsaw" in order to involve younger students as part of our "Art in Schools" program.
