Oliver Hillel is the Team Leader for a 4-year project implemented
by the Philippines Department of Tourism, called Sustainable
Environmental Management Plan for Northern Palawan. Previously,
Mr. Hillel coordinated UNEP's Tourism Programme in the Division
of Technology, Industry and Economics based in Paris, France.
He spent 5 years as the Ecotourism Program Director for
Conservation International, an environmental NGO based in
Washington, DC, and served as Board member for the International
Ecotourism Society.
A biologist with a Master's Degree in Environmental Education
and MBAs on Managerial Accounting and Hotel Management,
Mr. Hillel is a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation's LEAD
program, and has over 18 years experience in the tourism
sector working in project management, training and development,
consulting and auditing, and tourism operations.
