Grant Hunt
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Voyages

Growing up in Wellington, NSW, Grant Hunt has always had great respect for the land. This has translated into a mission to protect and nurture the spectacular wilderness locations in which Voyages operates including the Red Centre, the Top End, Tasmania's Central Highlands, the Kimberley Region of Western Australia, Queensland Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.

Grant joined the company in January 1996. Four months later he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

"Working closely with wilderness environments is what gets me up in the morning - that's exciting stuff."

And that passion continues to grow as the company grows - most recently with the acquisition of El Questro Resort which has increased the number of hotels under management to 23 across 16 resorts plus campgrounds, hostels, lodges, touring, retail outlets, catering businesses and an airport.

Voyages has just published its first Community and Environment Report - also a first for the tourism industry. This report is a completely transparent benchmark analysis of the company's current efforts. It examines the challenges and opportunities that come with being a leading ecotourism operator in Australia.

Voyages CEO, Grant Hunt, will discuss this very honest report and the impact he sees it making for the company and the tourism community overall. He also will highlight the challenges faced by organisations such as Voyages in holding themselves to rigorous but essential environmental and social standards in order to make a difference to sustainability in the years to come and continue to compete on the world stage.
