The successful applicant will work actively with park agencies and other government departments on planning and policy projects relating to the development of tourism experiences in protected areas. If you have a good knowledge of tourism in protected areas, strong oral and written communication skills and a “can do” attitude, this role may be for you.

Fiona is currently working for Ecotourism Australia assisting with certification as well as for Tony Charters and Associates as Event Assistant in Brisbane (Tourism Futures and Global Eco Asia Pacific Tourism Conference).
During and after her Bachelor degree in International Tourism Management (2006 – Paris), Fiona gained extensive professional experience ranging from luxury hotels as multi lingual receptionist and marketing assistant, to event project manager, multi lingual guest service agent in tourist offices, nature guide in an arboretum to entertainer in a campsite.
Fiona specifically came to Australia to work in ecotourism as she strongly believe in the ethics of eco and responsible tourism.
She is looking for a full time position involving direct contact with guests in Community Based Tourism projects / tourism planning, guiding, event / project management, front desk management from mid November on and would be happy to relocate anywhere in Australia or the world, as long as the position is interesting.

Elaine Is from Ireland and holds a BBS in Applied Tourism from the Institute of Technology Sligo having completed a dissertation on “The Application of the European Eco Label for Tourism Accommodation”, she developed a keen interest in sustainable tourism. Elaine came to Australia in 2009 to take on the role of support officer with EC3 Global providers of the Earthcheck Certification programme.
Through her studies Elaine has had the opportunity to work extensively at various levels having spent 3 summers working on certified Campsites in France she has well recognized skills and experience in many areas of the tourism industry..She is especially interested in certification, and the various measures that can be put in place to help protect the environment. Elaine is currently completing an internship with Eco Tourism Australia. In the future she hopes to complete a Masters however until then she looking for work experience within the Sustainable Tourism Industry
