Great Ocean Ecolodge

Ecotourism Customer Service, front of house, cleaning, part-time

Located just off the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia, is a very special Ecolodge. Established and operated by the Conservation Ecology Centre, the award-winning Great Ocean Ecolodge welcomes up to ten guests at a time offering visitors from around the world a chance to learn about wildlife conservation.

We are looking for someone to join our team over summer, for the next 6 months.

The role will focus on:

  • Running a professional and friendly kitchen; planning, preparing and serving beautifully presented breakfast for up to ten guests
  • Providing a welcoming environment for guests, advising guests on their itinerary in regards to what they can do in the region.
  • Check-out of guests and processing required payments
  • Cleaning, servicing and maintaining a high cleanliness in the Great Ocean Ecolodge building.

Applicants must be entitled to work lawfully in Australia. Remuneration will be based on experience and in accordance with the Hospitality Industry Award.


  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 07:00 am to 01:30 pm (adds up to 20hrs a week)

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in professional cooking and hygienic food practices.
  • Experience in customer service and cleaning.
  • Experience in working individually and as part of a team.
  • Safe Food Handling Certificates preferred.
  • A passion for sustainability, outstanding quality, and presentation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
