Ecotourism in Action
“A building that teaches”…
On the Wallaby Lodge now provides visitors with a unique opportunity to experience first-hand how careful design and practices can allow us to generate and store our own power, and to save water with a variety of water saving devices including a grey water system. Throughout the property, visitors will find a series of low-key interpretive opportunities to help learn through signage and interactive displays about the conservation and energy generating systems in use. We also encourage guests to pick fresh herbs from our edible gardens and to soak up the homely atmosphere.
“Our hope is to educate and delight our guest and to inspire visitors to make sustainable choices in their own homes and communities”
