Phillip Island Nature Parks is a self-funded, not-for-profit conservation organisation that delivers ongoing environmental, conservation, research and education programs through the successful operation of its five ecotourism attractions including the iconic Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre, Churchill Island Heritage Farm, Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies and Wild Oceans EcoBoat tours. 

  • Antarctic Journey

    Immerse yourself in a spectacular multimedia wildlife experience and embark on a virtual journey to the world’s most extreme continent at the WWF Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies. Enjoy the fun, hands-on displays in the Lab before a walk-through cinematic journey, culminating in an interactive, augmented reality experience thanks to cutting edge technology.

    Step back in time to this historic island farm. Churchill Island features heritage buildings and gardens, walking tracks and much more.
  • Guided Ranger Tour – Antarctic Journey

    This experience is jam packed with fun-filled hands on activities designed to entertain and educate. Join your ranger and ‘feel the freeze’ as you enter the Antarctic Chill Zone, then compare your thermal image with an Emperor penguin, check out the menu at the Virtual Café or visit the Research Station. Find yourself enthralled by the audio visual spectacle which puts you right in the heart of the action, surrounded by creatures of the deep like whales, seals, sharks and more.

  • Guided Ranger Tour – Churchill Island

    Step back in time to this historic island farm. Churchill Island features heritage buildings and gardens, walking tracks and much more. Explore Churchill Island with our rangers - an ecotourism adventure! Join our rangers to get up close and personal.

  • Guided Ranger Tour – Koala Reserve

    Join your accredited ranger and enter the natural bushland setting the koalas call home, exploring the treetop boardwalks for tell-tale signs of this iconic marsupial. Learn about the koala’s life cycle, and the efforts made by the centre to preserve the island’s koala population while you enjoy the sights and sounds of the abundant bird life and the many other animal species in this woodland.

  • Guided Ranger Tour – Penguin Parade

    Join your ranger guide for an informative journey through the penguin colony, enjoying their commentary via your personal headset. Take your seat in the wonderfully located beachfront viewing stand. Use the supplied binoculars to try and spot the penguins gathering in the water before they make their way across the beach to their burrows. Minimum age 12 years.

  • Koala Reserve

    Come ‘face to face’ with koalas in their natural habitat along the treetop boardwalks through the Australian bushland. Wander the trails through the natural Australian bushland and enjoy the abundant bird life. The woodland is home to many animals including wallabies, echidnas and bats.

    Little Penguins are well adapted to living in their environment, but not living with our pollution! Learn  how the changes in the way you behave in your home can impact the Little Penguins home

  • Penguin Parade

    This is Australia′s most popular natural wildlife attraction where each night at sunset, the world′s smallest penguins emerge from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows. This is a truly memorable natural wildlife experience. The elevated boardwalks and viewing stands allow you to enjoy all the ‘penguin action′ without disturbing them or their burrow homes.

  • Penguins Plus

    Inspired by the natural elements of the surrounding landscape, the new Penguins Plus platform mirrors the coves of Phillip Island’s spectacular southern coastline and offers visitors unprecedented, up-close viewing of the little penguins as they waddle along the most popular pathway at the Penguin Parade.

    Come and join our rangers on an exciting adventure during the School Holidays. The Holiday Activities Programs feature a range of great adventures including: rockpool rambles, rockpool spotlights, Woolamai sunset walks, koala prowls and nature walks.

  • Ultimate Adventure Tour

    Be one of the select few to venture out to a secluded beach with your ranger. Personal headsets ensure you hear all of the informative commentary, while high-tech night vision scopes allow you to spy on the penguins in the dark. A true highlight of this tour is the walk back to the visitor centre through the heart of the penguin colony. Minimum age 16 years.

  • VIP Tour

    Be treated like a VIP on this guided tour, starting your experience with a gourmet snack. Your ranger will escort you to the VIP Skybox, enjoying a prime elevated location overlooking the beach, where you can participate in the nightly penguin count with the head ranger. Minimum age 12 years.
