Nature-based tourism operators in Queensland are being given a boost this month thanks to a new agreement between long-term industry partners, Ecotourism Australia (EA) and the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) to cross-recognise each other’s certification programs.
Ecotourism Australia is proud to announce its newest member, A.Kube Aviation, which has recently been certified at the Nature Tourism level. A.Kube Aviation is not only dedicated to providing a quality and exciting experience to its visitors but also one which assures its activities have a minimal impact on the environment.
The Ecotourism Australia family extends a warm welcome to the North Star Holiday Resort who have recently achieved ECO Certification at the Ecotourism level. This means the North Star is dedicated not only to offering prime accommodation but also leaving a minimal impact on the environment, offering captivating ways of learning to care for the environment, contributing to conservation and helping local communities.

The 2021 Green Destinations Story Awards took place last Friday, 12 March. The globally recognised award ceremony showcased the most inspirational stories of resilient tourism practices from the 2020 Top 100 Competition – sponsored by ITB and GLP Films.
